At La Casa sul Mare in Civitavecchia, every room is a little journey through the wonders of the Mediterranean. The Ventotene room takes its name from one of the most enchanting islands in the Pontine archipelago—a place steeped in history, wild nature, and crystal-clear seas.
Ventotene is known for its unspoiled beauty, but also for its role in history: it was here that the idea of a united Europe was born, thanks to the Ventotene Manifesto written by Altiero Spinelli during his political confinement. The island is therefore a symbol of freedom, hope, and new beginnings.
We wanted to recreate this very atmosphere in our room: a serene and welcoming space where the color of the sea blends with details inspired by Mediterranean nature. Staying here means immersing yourself in an oasis of peace, just like those who arrive on the island after a journey across the waves.
